The standard of product is set out in Execution Classes (EXCs). Execution Class 3 refers to supporting structures made up of steel up to strength class S700. Examples of this include bridges, and buildings with over 15 floors.

All welding activities must be controlled by a responsible welding coordinator. The competence must also be provided by means of a training certificate stating the training covered the standard requirements.
